Commercial Inside Sales Support Specialist

Description

Customer Service:
Provides excellent customer service by treating all customers fairly and honestly.
Promptly answers phone calls directed to the Commercial Inside Sales Team and routes them to the appropriate party.
Ensures customers are “on hold” no more than 45 seconds.
Accurately records and directs message to appropriate individuals.
Always presents a professional appearance and image.

Basic Functions:
Completes quality, error free work.
Assists the Logistics Specialist by: Tracking all inbound freight (direct or special orders). Promptly notifying Customers and Sales Reps of shipping changes.
Assists the Quoters by: Processing RMA’s.Investigating and responding to customer product or delivery issues. Maintaining up to date literature and product specification files/archives. Assist with special projects as assigned.
Performing word processing, filing, sending faxes, preparing mailings, distributing interoffice mail and photocopying activities.

Advanced Functions:
Assists the Logistics Specialist by: Converting quotes to orders and arranging for the shipping of products. Creating branch transfers and purchase orders. Forwards Boom Truck and Flat Bed deliveries to TDC Dispatcher. Providing submittals to customers as required. Providing operation manuals (O&Ms) to customers as required.
Assists the Quoters by: Maintaining and monitoring Quote status processes to ensure all Quotes are processed in a timely manner.

Education/Experience/Skills

  • High school diploma required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage details and meet deadlines with 100% accuracy in a multi-task environment
  • Customer service-oriented approach, responds to requests with a sense of urgency
  • Proactive, self-motivated, able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both in person and over the phone
  • Able to use personal computer, Microsoft Office software Applications and P21.
  • Must be comfortable working in a team oriented, fast paced, multiple task and customer focused environment.
  • Willing to “think out of the box” and identify process improvement opportunities
  • Requires the ability move freely about the facility, work sitting or standing, operate basic business machines, and lift and carry office supplies
