Warehouse Supervisor

Description

This position is responsible for supervising the day-to-day warehousing, delivery and customer service functions, as well as, working to build a strong team by implementing objective and measurable goals and standards. The Warehouse Supervisor must also demonstrate a positive, helpful attitude toward fellow Team Members and customers.

Education/Experience/Skills

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 4-year college degree preferred
  • Warehouse experience required
  • Supervisor experience required
  • Prior direct customer service experience -- desire to work directly with customers
  • Understanding of inside sales, outside sales, warehouse and delivery functions
  • Proactive, self-motivated, able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately
  • Strong decision making abilities - understands impact and implications of decisions
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong people management and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to organize people and resources to get the job done
  • Able to operate computer terminal, personal computer and office machines
  • Able to communicate with the public in person and on the phone
  • Able to work sitting or standing and move freely throughout the facility(s)
  • Able to lift and carry equipment, supplies and inventory on a frequent basis
  • Able to organize people and promote teamwork
