Gensco has openings for an operation Interns for the summer of 2019 in all of our branch locations.Learn Gensco’s customer service philosophy and how to provide excellent customer service by treating all customers fairly and honestly Assigned job functions will vary by department and may include administrative support, warehouse and delivery support, sales and marketing support, accounting and/or IT support, etc.Our internships offer you the opportunity to: Meet weekly with the Hiring Manager to learn more about Gensco Opportunity to meet with other key Gensco Managers including Gensco’s President, Vice Presidents, etc If assigned to a Gensco Branch or TDC, training in multiple areas of operations including will-call, receiving, cycle counting, order writing, deliveries, customer service, etc If assigned to a Gensco Branch or TDC but interested in another department such as Marketing, Sales, Accounting, etc., get the opportunity to job shadow in that department for one to two days Upon completion of the Summer Internship, provide Gensco with written feedback regarding his/her experience Interns who successfully complete the program may be considered to full-time employment after graduation.

Education/Experience/Skills

  • Currently pursuing a 2 year or 4 year college degree

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Customer service oriented, proactive and self-motivated

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both in person and over the phone

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment

  • Demonstrates strong desire to learn about Gensco
