Learning & Development Content Specialist

Works closely with the Learning & Development Lead, all Gensco Departments and subject matter experts (SMEs).
Responsible for assisting in creating, implementing and administering effective Team Member Learning and Development programs.
Responsible for the on-time and accurate design, layout, and implementation of eLearning content through Gensco’s’ online learning management system.
Provides excellent customer service to both external and internal customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Learning and Development Content Design/Creation:
Utilize Articulate Storyline eLearning software to ensure effective and efficient delivery of training content.
Work closely with Learning & Development Lead to identify and assess current and future training needs.
Using Articulate Storyline; design and create specific content in response to these needs, including:
New Hire orientation and onboarding
Sales Learning and Development for Outside Sales Representatives
Operations Learning and development for Team Members focusing on operations and logistics
Product training responding to different Team Member needs
Management and Leadership Development
Utilize both internal and external resources along with a wide variety of methods in developing appropriate content, including:
Internal resources for developing online training courses
Outside training professionals
LMS for delivery
Continually enhance existing training and Team Member Development content to ensure relevance and effectiveness

Learning and Development Content Implementation:
Regularly work with Gensco Managers and Team Members to determine information available for content, purpose of content and method of deploying new/updated training content

Learning and Development Content Administration:
Assists in administering Gensco’s LMS system including adding, maintaining and deleting user profiles, courses and program.
Assists in managing and maintaining all Gensco training content files and records.
Assist in developing and maintaining Gensco’s learning and development processes and procedures.
Assist in implementing and managing process to monitor, evaluate and report on the effectiveness of the team to ensure content calendar goals are met.


  • Four year college degree, preferably in instructional design, instructional technology, adult organizational learning, or other related fields
  • Relevant work experience can be considered as a substitution to academic requirements
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Previous experience in design (i.e. Online training course design, multimedia) preferred
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite specifically: Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects
  • Project management experience
  • Customer service-oriented approach, responds to requests with a sense of urgency
  • Possesses excellent attention to detail
  • Analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage details and meet deadlines with 100% accuracy in a multi-task environment
  • Proactive, self-motivated, able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately
