-This role is primarily responsible for collaborating with the Marketing E-Commerce & Digital Marketing Lead and Specialist to assist with the routine maintenance of Gensco’s e-commerce Customer facing websites and company websites -Assist with Gensco’s e-commerce, digital marketing and sales strategy that pertains to e-commerce -Help Identify and contribute to website enhancements to ensure superior customer experience in areas such as user-friendly design and availability of functional tools, timely and accurate content, as well as, keeping abreast of best practices and industry trends -Assist with documenting and organizing Gensco’s current e-content repository, as well as, collaborating with product experts to validate the accuracy and quality of the product data -This internship will provide an opportunity to see and assist as needed in the roles and daily processes of a marketing department. Duties and Responsibilities: E-Commerce Assistance a. Collaborate with Marketing E-Commerce & Digital Marketing Specialist to maintain existing websites (updating banners, resources, training courses, product information, etc.) b. Coordinate with the appropriate Gensco departments to ensure accurate and useful information is displayed on the website and manage the product cycle of the website, with a focus on targeted sales promotions and seasonal customer preferences c. Ensure work is accessible and responsive across all platforms d. Test on multiple browsers and platforms e. Crop and edit photos to website style guide standards f. Document application and web site changes or change procedures g. Recommend web site improvements h. Assist in contacting suppliers and research online to gather product photos and details (specs, descriptions, documents, etc.) i. Assist the team as needed with project or task overflow

Education/Experience/Skills

  • Seeking four year degree
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Interes in Web Design or Development
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Understanding of UI/UX design, cross-browser compatibility, general web and app functions and standards
  • Able to handle multiple activities and work alone or with Teams.
  • Excellent Communication skills and ability to work with staff with varying levels of technical expertise
  • Ability to maintain accurate and detailed recordsAnalytical, reasoning and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage details and meet deadlines with 100% accuracy in a multi-task environment
  • Customer service-oriented approach, responds to requests with a sense of urgency
  • Proactive, self-motivated, able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately
  • Willing to “think outside of the box” and identify process improvement opportunities
  • Strong decision making abilities, understands impact and implications of decisions
  • Strong time management skills, ability to prioritize and follow through
