Payroll Coordinator

Description

1. Payroll Processing: -Supports the processing, auditing and distribution of Gensco’s weekly and semi-monthly payroll. -Responds to Team Member inquiries regarding payroll related matters. -Assists with payroll analysis, data gathering and reporting. -Enters new hire information and follows up on all outstanding forms and documents. -Maintains payroll system by updating Team Member information including address changes, tax withholdings, benefit enrollments, etc. -Provides required payroll information for industrial insurance and unemployment claims. -Assists in reconciling payroll reports with Gensco’s GL. 2. Compensation Administration: -Monitors and reports compliance with Gensco’s compensation and payroll procedures. -Processes performance reviews and compensations adjustments in a timely and efficient manner. -Maintains payroll reports and proper record retention. 3. Administrative Support: -Creates and maintains required Team Member personnel and medical files. -Organizes and maintains payroll records and electronic files. -Appropriately files and maintains payroll records and documentation. -Supports the HR Team with all administrative tasks.

Education/Experience/Skills

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Some college or 4-year degree preferred
  • Functional knowledge of payroll processing
  • Demonstrated ability to manage details and meet deadlines with 100% accuracy in a multi-task environment
  • Customer service-oriented approach, responds to requests with a sense of urgency
  • Proactive, self-motivated, able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately
  • Strong people skills, recognizes when to use formal or informal approach, not easily intimidated, accessible, ability to say “no” in a firm but polite manner
  • Willing to “think out of the box” and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • High degree of honesty, ethics and integrity with prior work experience handling confidential information
  • Able to work sitting or standing and to move freely throughout the facility
  • Able to lift and carry equipment and supplies on a regular and frequent basis
  • Strong computer skills - MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
