Computer Support Specialist

Description

-Deliver exceptional customer service and support through phone, email, and in-person interactions. -Install and perform repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment. -Manage hardware and software refresh cycles. -Perform Active Directory administrative work related to user maintenance. -Exchange/O365 administration. -Participate in the management of Barracuda email security gateway. -Assist with user administration for Gensco’s ecommerce website. -Maintain internal ticketing system, project list, release schedule, change log and knowledge base. -Ensuring the accuracy of all records and the timely assignment of all tasks/tickets. -Assist in ERP administration and troubleshooting. -Develop training materials and procedures. Train users in the proper use of hardware and software. -Participate in the configuration and administration of various Saas applications. -Be available for afterhours support as well as ensuring availability for shift work to cover customer’s needs -Assist end-users with video conferencing needs or training. -Triage and communicate updates in the event of department, branch or system wide issues. -Support new hire onboarding -Manage workflow to ensure efficient operations -Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. -Some travel may be required

Education/Experience/Skills

  • o Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer science or related field.
  • o 5+ years of information systems experience in an enterprise environment. o Superior customer service-oriented approach
  • o Excellent communication skills and ability to work with staff with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • o Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • o Willing to “think out of the box” and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • o High degree of honesty, ethics and integrity with prior work experience handling confidential information.
