Pricing Support Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities: (may perform one or more of the following) 1.Pricing Responsibilities: a.Acts as the initial point of contact for the department with regards to pricing requests from the Sales Team. b.Makes pricing decisions within established guidelines and responds to pricing inquiries in a prompt and courteous manner. c.Maintains standard pricing in the system for all stocked items. d.Collects, catalogs, and updates competitive information submitted by the Sales Team in order to make informed pricing decisions. e.Prepares and distributes monthly reports. f.Works with Accounting on external claim backs, confirming correct product costs are submitted to our suppliers for reimbursement. g.Processes supplier price changes and communicates information to the Sales and Branch Teams h.Collaborates with the Sales and Purchasing Teams on pricing for new products 2.Sales Support Responsibilities: a.Works with the Sales, Marketing and Purchasing team for flyer and promotional pricing. b.Gathers input and creates sales pricing for specific product groups and customer types. c.Reviews purchases by customers with special pricing and works with the Sales Team to resolve non-performing issues. d.Works with the Sales Team on submitting and maintaining equipment factory quotes. e.Works with the Purchasing Team to secure special or locked supplier costs when necessary. f.Provides training and on-going support to the Sales Team on the pricing system. Education/Experience/Skills: High school diploma or GED required 4 year degree or minimum 4 years industry experience preferred Excellent written and oral communication skills Customer service-oriented approach, responds to requests with a sense of urgency Excellent interpersonal skills, both in person, over the phone, and by email Demonstrated ability to manage details and meet deadlines with 100% accuracy in a multi-task environment Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel •Strong math skills •Proactive, self-motivated, able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately •Must be comfortable working in a team oriented, fast paced, multiple task and customer focused environment •Willing to “think out of the box” and identify process improvement opportunities •Requires the ability to move freely about the facility, work sitting or standing, operate basic business machines, and lift and carry office supplies Reports to:Pricing Team Lead
