Pricing Support Specialist

Description

Performs a broad range of pricing and administrative responsibilities. Analyzes competitor pricing matched with market expectations to determine the ideal target price for products of the business.Provides excellent customer service to the Sales Team and Branches.Provides thorough analytical breakdowns of pricing structures and sales funnels of similar competitor products and services and identifies specific strategies used in pricing models of the same. Supports the Pricing Department in price adjustments, sales analysis, pricing inquiries, and all internal communication of pricing information. Duties and Responsibilities: -Scope out opportunities based on market trends and industry condition -Draft strategic pricing plans and processes to improve existing projects -Communicate findings effectively to relevant departments of the company -Makes pricing decisions within established guidelines and responds to pricing inquiries in a prompt and courteous manner. -Collects, catalogs, and updates competitive information submitted by Gensco’s Sales Team in order to make informed pricing decisions. - Inputs pricing for flyers and promotions. -Audits the External Claim Back Report, confirming correct product costs are submitted to our suppliers for claim backs. -Address issues and concerns raised by team members relating to pricing suggestions -Identify ideal pricing structures and sales funnels Sales Support Responsibilities: -Works with the Sales Support team for flyer and promotional pricing, and identifies appropriate special vendor costs as needed. -Gathers input and creates sales pricing libraries for specific product groups and customer types. -Reviews purchases by customers with special pricing and works with the sales team to resolve non-performing issues. -Works with the Sales Team on submitting and maintaining equipment factory quotes. -Works with the Purchasing Team to secure special or locked supplier costs when necessary. Education/Experience/Skills: -High school diploma or GED required -4 year degree or minimum 4 years industry experience preferred -Excellent written and oral communication skills -Customer service-oriented approach, responds to requests with a sense of urgency -Excellent interpersonal skills, both in person and over the phone. -Demonstrated ability to manage details and meet deadlines with 100% accuracy in a multi-task environment -Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office programs and the internet -Strong math skills -Proactive, self-motivated, able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately -Must be comfortable working in a team oriented, fast paced, multiple task and customer focused environment -Willing to “think out of the box” and identify process improvement opportunities - Requires the ability to move freely about the facility, work sitting or standing, operate basic business machines, and lift and carry office supplies

Education/Experience/Skills

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 4 year degree or minimum 4 years industry experience preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Customer service-oriented approach, responds to requests with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both in person, over the phone, and by email
  • Demonstrated ability to manage details and meet deadlines with 100% accuracy in a multi-task environment
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel Strong math skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated, able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately
  • Must be comfortable working in a team oriented, fast paced, multiple task and customer focused environment
