Credit Manager

Description

The Gensco Credit Manager is responsible for performing a broad range of customer credit activities in a manner promoting maximum customer sales, while also ensuring maximum collectible receivables. This person will implement Gensco Customer Credit procedures, systems and reports to accomplish efficient, accurate and effective results. The Credit Manager will provide excellent customer service to both current and potential Gensco customers and will execute customer credit responsibilities in a disciplined, consistent, predictable and professional manner and maintain appropriate confidentialities of customer credit information. Some overnight travel may be required.

Education/Experience/Skills

  • Four-year college degree preferred
  • Two-to-five years of related work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage details and meet deadlines with 100% accuracy in a multi-task environment
  • Customer service-oriented approach, responds to requests with a sense of urgency and helpfulness
  • Proactive, self-motivated, able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Willing to “think out of the box” and identify process improvement opportunities
  • High degree of honesty, ethics and integrity with prior work experience handling confidential information
  • Able to operate personal computer, calculator and other office machines as well as being proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Able to work sitting or standing and to move freely throughout the facility
  • Able to lift and carry equipment and supplies on a frequent basis
  • Able to travel up to 20% of time with overnight stay required
  • Prior experience in credit/collection roles is preferred, but not required.
